Pakistan Passport Ranking number was 78th in the passport index rating in Sept 2024. In 33 countries Pakistani citizens can travel without a visa but in other countries, you and your family need to apply for a visa in advance.  If you wanna travel in these 33 countries, you need a valid passport with at least 6 months expiry. Certain countries allow you to apply for a visa after entering that country. These countries have specific zone in airports where people submit their visas later on entering that country. These countries provide visas on Arrival.

How do understand passport Ranking?

Passport ranking depends upon several factors the first factor is to understand the number of destinations a citizen who holds a passport can travel without applying for a visa and which countries allow visas on arrival or eVisa. Henley & Partners is an organization that annually announces its ranking name as the Henley Passport Index. Henley Passport index gets data from IATA and evaluates authority which a passport holder can enjoy. 

In 2024 Pakistani passports remain lower ranked, because of limited global mobility freedom. Still, several countries allow Pakistani passport holders to enter without a previous visa and provide a seamless travel experience.

Visa-free countries for Passport holders

Pakistan passport holders can travel in the following Visa-free countries but for a limited time if someone needs to stay he/she is required to apply for a visa beyond the extended limit:

Visa on arrival ( VOA) countries for Pakistani passport holders

Visa on arrival policy is applicable for Pakistan passport holders in 20 countries. These countries grant permission to cross borders and a person will receive a visa at the airport after the duration specified by the country. Documentation varies from country to country as well as visa fees. The person has to provide the required documents and pay a visa fee on arriving at the destination.

This is the Electronic Travel Authorization provided by the following two countries for Pakistani citizens.

Countries that need regular Visa from Paskitan passport holders

About 142 countries require a complete application procedure and documentation without that nobody is allowed to enter that country.  The applicant will pay the visa fee and complete documentation to the embassy and a short interview is a requirement for some countries where a person has to justify his document’s validity and statement of purpose after that visa is granted for a specific duration after that visa expires. This visa is also called a sticker visa a stamp on a passport is applied.

E-visa is like an online application form and a person uploads all documents online with a visa fee. After the verification email is sent to the individual with a document this is an e-visa.
